SURFBOARD REPAIR

Alan Beels has been glassing surfboards professionally since 1980. He has glassed boards for such well known compaines as Gordon and Smith, Dewey Weber, Lost, and numerous local companies including Mission and Surfboards California.

In 2007, Alan opened Alan Beel's Surfboard Service, where you can get your boards repaired, your shapes glassed or have a custom surfboard shaped for you.

Micah Shannahan in his new shaping bay at Alan Beels Glassing and Repair Shop.

Micah has been shaping for over six years, having worked for Plus One Surfboards before starting his own label, Addict Surfboards.

He specializes in short boards but is now starting to shape Stand Up Paddle Boards for Mission Surf .

Micah is very proficient in both polyester as well as EPS epoxy construction. He has also been using kevlar and carbon fiber in the building of his boards.
