While it's roots may very well go back to ancient Polynesian times, it was the Beach boys of Waikiki who rediscovered this sport in the 1940's and 1950's as a way to take pictures of the tourists they were teaching to surf. Today SUP surfing is enjoying a resurgence of popularity at all levels of surfing.

Great for some nice down-the-line rides, it is a full volume, hard railed, Vee bottom board.The pintail allows for smooth turning and added speed. A slightly pulled in nose won't hang up in the face of the wave. This model offers a smooth effortless glide while paddling. We use WhiteHot 2pound foam and 4 layers of 6oz glass.Other models will include the performance diamond tail and the noserider. As pictured $1500.00

DICK BREWER SURFBOARDS

Master Shaper/Designer, Dick Brewer has entered the world of SUP. New for 2008, Dick has introduced a new polyurethane/ polyester model to the Brewer Surfboards line. Dick has teamed up with legendary shaper Gary Linden to produce these finely crafted Sup's. Shaped from Walker Foam, and glassed with a standard 6 oz. lay-up, Gary has added a Volan wrap to beef up the rails. There boards weigh a bit more than the epoxies, but the added weight will enhance the stability and help to plow through choppy water. Theses boards will be a limited production run.

Journeyman shaper, Craig Hollingsworth has been building boards in Hawaii and California since the early 70’s. Now he brings all these years together to produce Stand Up Boards for Surfline Hawaii as well as under his own label. Craig will shape you your own custom SUP. Just place your order with Bob.

JIMMY LEWISJimmy has shaped boards for the top kiteboarders, surfers and windsurfers of the world. He had previously been shaping surfboards since 1968.
